PANDUAN PELAKSANAAN DAN PENILAIAN KERJA KURSUS SEJARAH –2008
(Februari – Julai)

Panduan ini disediakan untuk memberi maklumat yang terperinci bagi guru mengendalikan pelaksanaan Kerja Kursus Sejarah. Setiap calon PMR diwajibkan melaksanakan Kerja Kursus Sejarah sebagai satu daripada keperluan peperiksaan. Penilaian Kerja Kursus Sejarah dikendalikan oleh pihak sekolah dengan pemantauan pegawai dari Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia (LPM).

Proses penilaian akan dilaksanakan oleh guru semasa pengajaran dan pembelajaran mata pelajaran Sejarah. Penilaian adalah berdasarkan elemen mengumpul fakta sejarah, merekod fakta sejarah serta penerapan unsur patriotisme. Pengukuran setiap elemen dilakukan berdasarkan aspek dan kriteria penskoran yang telah ditetapkan bagi menentukan keselarasan penilaian.

Pelaksanaan dan penilaian kerja kursus ini dijalankan oleh calon PMR dari Februari hingga Julai.

Question
The question wants students to make a small research on wedding culture of a race in Malaysia (adat perkahwinan kaum di Malaysia). Limited to people in Malaysia, students are also given 6 month between February and July to hand in their coursework. Students allowed to do research in groups but must send the final report individually. We will discuss later on the full writing style or method that students can use.

Marking Scheme
In June, usually teachers will ask you to hand in the report either finished or not finish. This enable him/her to give first review and if there are mistakes, students can fix them later. Students will get full marks of 40 if the report is perfect but normally, teachers will give marks about 37 to 39 for best report.

Introduction
Kajian Sejarah Tempatan or KST is a kind of folio or small research that all PMR's candidates will have to do. It helps when you when your History or Sejarah PMR paper goes down. About 10% of PMR marks will based on this folio.

Questioning and Marking
Teachers are given marking scheme and there will be Pemeriksa Am come from Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia that will recheck the folio. When students do best in folio, the school will get remark for Kerja Kursus. For questioning, LPM will limit the research within this country and usually require students to do research at Arkib Negara.

Kerja Kursus Sejarah Analysis
In year 2005, the question ask for renowned man in Malaysia. For 2006, the question is about historical event in Malaysia and for 2007, the question vary to wedding customs of people in Malaysia.
